Trueth

A familiar face in veterinary grooming, Trueth has been working his magic at McDowell Mountain Animal Hospital since 2010. Over the years, he has cared for two, and in some cases three, generations of pets within our community.

With two decades of grooming experience, Trueth has a special talent for working with disabled and high-anxiety pets, approaching each with patience, empathy, and thoughtful care. He also enjoys working with young, energetic pets, helping introduce them to the grooming process and building positive habits from an early age. Trueth is always happy to share his expertise while continuing to find new ways to challenge and refine his skills.

Beyond grooming, Trueth has a fascinating academic background in 18th-century literature, with a focus on the Romantic and Empire periods as a cultural historian. He is also a prolific writer. More recently, he has spent much of his free time as a Game Master, bringing stories to life through games of Dungeons & Dragons, which has quickly become a second passion.

Whether he’s caring for his canine and feline patients at the hospital or regaling us with tales of his draconic ones at the game table, we’re proud to have Trueth as part of the McDowell Mountain Animal Hospital family.
