Mickayla joined the McDowell Mountain family in 2025.

Working in the field of veterinary medicine for the past 5 years, Mickayla started her career as a receptionist, but soon her love of animals and an unquenchable desire to learn and assist our furry friends though their life journeys saw her move into her current position as a Technician. 

Mickayla's passion at work is preventive care and helping to educate pet owners on safe ways to prevent their pets from suffering chronic/preventable diseases. 

In her free time Mickayla enjoys taking care of her pup “Scooby Doo” (named for her favorite childhood cartoon), painting, cooking and hiking.
