The above list is not exhaustive – we offer many other surgical services in Scottsdale to meet your pet’s health needs. Your veterinarian will work closely with you to understand your pet’s medical needs and come up with a solution that is personalized to suit their unique situation.
As an AAHA accredited animal hospital, our goal is to ensure that surgery enhances or improves your pet’s quality of life. We will never recommend a superfluous or unnecessary surgery. It’s important to us that your pet is only ever getting the treatment they need.
Pre-Surgical Exams & Aftercare
Prior to your pet’s surgical procedure, our team will conduct a physical exam and order laboratory testing to ensure they are healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. We will also use this time to confirm that surgery is the best treatment option for your pet.
Following your pet’s surgery, we’ll send you home with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure that your pet is able to heal safely, quickly, and correctly.
Post-surgical aftercare usually includes instructions for:
- Moderating your pet’s activity
- Feeding your pet
- Monitoring the surgical site
- Administering medication
Depending on your pet’s surgery, we may also schedule a follow up appointment to check on their healing. No matter what procedure your pet has undergone, your veterinarian is here for you and your pet. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have before, during, and after the surgical process.
